About the evening dedicated to Grigory Ponomarenko
Last week marked the 100th anniversary of the birth of the music author of songs beloved throughout Russia by Grigory Ponomarenko.
Probably, there is no person in the country who would not know the songs of Grigory Fedorovich. "Orenburg puff handkerchief," which is called the unofficial anthem of the Orenburg region, "Do not wake up, cranes, widows of Russia," "Song to the native land..." And more than four thousand works - operettas, plays, romances and even film soundtracks.
He was a genius of his time. He wrote about war, Homeland, people, love. Many of his songs even became folk.
In Orenburg, the composer was a hit, but for two of the five children of the musician, our city became literally the second homeland.
Yesterday, February 5, in the House of Culture "Rainbow" of the village named after Kuibyshev, the Creative Evening of Grigory Ponomarenko was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the composer, at which famous groups of the Orenburg region performed.
