The Orenburg municipal chamber chorus was created in 1993 at the initiative of the graduate of the Ural state conservatory and postgraduate studies (Yekaterinburg), the honored worker of arts of Russia, professor of chair of choral conducting of the Orenburg state institute of arts of a name L. And M. Rostropovichey - Olga Serebriyskaya. Since August 1, 1995 the chorus got the status of the municipal. As a part of chorus of 30 professional musicians. The leader-soloist – Galina Serebriyskaya, the honored worker of culture of Russia, the associate professor of a piano. Chorus – the winner of four International choral competitions: 1999 - The I award at the competition "Southern Palmyra" (Ukraine, Odessa); 2006 - The I award in three nominations and "Grand Prix" in the nominations "Folklore", the Special prize of "Winner" of competition in all nominations "Toonen2000" (Netherlands); 2007 - The II award on jumping "The singing world" (. St. Petersburg, Russia), 2010 - the I award at the competition "Yalta Victoria"-2010 (Yalta, Ukraine), 2011 - the I award at the competition "Zhubanovsky Spring" (Aktobe, Kazakhstan).

The chorus took part in collaboration with the greatest musician of the present - the Maestro Mstislav Rostropovich - statement of the opera of D. Shostakovich "Lady Macbeth" in Moscow and execution of work of S. Gubaidulina "the Anthem to the Sun" in Spain and Italy - 8 concerts.

The chorus actively cooperated in programs with People's artists of the USSR, soloists of Mariinsky and Big theaters Lyudmila Filatova and Vladimir Matorin, the Honored artist of Russia Vladimir Miller, Soloists of Opera school of Galina Vishnevskaya - Oksana Korniyevskaya and Pavel Paremuzov, soloists "Helicon" of the opera, soloists of the Parisian Radio, and also with composers Yu. Falik, S. Slonimsky, Ya. Dubravin, David Tukhmanov, Igor Kornelyuk, Iraida Yusupova, Sergey Ekimov, Vladimir Polyakov. Chorus - the participant of many choral festivals. I went on tour on the cities of Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, France, Kazakhstan and Russia.
