Great Friday is the most sorrowful day of the year. Today, the Orthodox recall the Godly suffering and death of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We present to you an oratorio to the music of Metropolitan Hilarion (Alfeev) "PASSION FOR MATTHEW" from the Concert Hall of the Orenburg Regional Philharmonic.
"Passions for Matthew" is the first musical composition written for the concert scene, but based on the traditions of Russian church music. Relying on the musical vision of the era of I.S. Bach, Metropolitan Hilarion at the beginning of the 21st century offered his reading of the eternal gospel theme, which took a worthy place in modern cultural life.
