The rehearsal took place in the Palace of Prince Vladimir Romanov
Peter is literally saturated with history, mystery and legends! For example, our rehearsal yesterday took place in a building located next to Palace Square - in the palace of Grand Duke Vladimir Alexandrovich.
Vladimir Alexandrovich was the son of Emperor Alexander II, brother of Alexander III and uncle Nicholas II. His palace has survived to this day in excellent condition - during the war, not a single shell hit it and all the exhibits are genuine, not restored! Mirrors, for example, are more than 150 years old, but they have never been restored!
P.S. By the way, the hotel building, in which the choir’s collective was housed, also belonged to this palace. Initially, there were various office rooms, for example, laundry, warehouses. The staff of the princely family lived in it.
